We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your participation in Mine Entra 2016. We hope to see you again at our next exhibition.
Mine Entra 2016 was the 21st edition of the trade show and was a reflection of a two-decade long investment in building a relevant and targeted event that helped uncover Zimbabwe’s wealth and potential. Mine Entra 2016 ran under the theme “Unearthing Opportunities,” and highlighted the growth opportunities and prospects in the region’s mining industry and related sectors.
Due to the inflammable nature of some exhibits and of the stand building materials, we request that exhibitors and visitors adhere to a strict non-smoking policy in the hall.
Mine Entra 2015, was a landmark event as the exhibition celebrated 20 years of existence. For over two decades, the exhibition has grown and evolved into a one-stop shop for market intelligence, image building, networking and business development for the represented industries.
172 companies exhibited including 9 international exhibitors from The People’s Republic of China, Germany and South Africa. Local participation largely came from the country’s two major cities. 58% were Harare-based while 35% were from Bulawayo and the balance came from other cities around the country.
The product mix was varied including heavy engineering, equipment, conveyors, pumps and rubber products, construction, transport, insurance services and protective wear among others. The external sites had interesting earth moving equipment, automotive displays and heavy engineering.
Business visitors included mainly managers of industrial enterprises, bankers, financiers, government officials, mining managers, buyers and executives, service sector representatives, distributors of materials and equipment, among other professionals with an interest in the mining value chain.
Visitors from outside Zimbabwe came from Botswana, British Virgin Islands, The People’s Republic of China, Germany, India, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Poland, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, United States of America and Zambia.
Stands constructed of white panels of 2.5m high, carpet tiles, 1 x blue fascia with name and stand number in white vinyl, 150w spotlights (minimum 2), 1 x 15 amp and a power socket. The number of spotlights/sockets increases with the size of the stand. Extras (e.g. logo’s, furniture, plants) are optional and at the exhibitors’ expense.
Stands of any size can be custom-designed at the exhibitor’s expense. Cost depends on complexity of stand design. Contact the ZITF Logistics and Space Management department (click here) for further details about the Stand Designers offering their creative services to Mine Entra exhibitors. The conference creates a platform to discuss, deliberate and seek clarification on policies and initiatives affecting the mining industry. It encourages open discussion and dialogue among policymakers and stakeholders in the mining industry in order to influence policy decisions to achieve the national agenda.
